JevInstincts
This month has been a blur. Work has been interesting, and life at home has been a blast. I think I'm starting to understand what my Mom kept muttering when I was a belligerent teenager. "One day you'll get yours . . ." It's interesting being a dad. Psychologists are always arguing over nature/ nurture stuff, not to mention all of the intellectual camps that rally around this guy and that theory. Myself, I'm fond of the Big Sponge Theory. I was doing the dishes in the kitchen (duh, where else? Perhaps I should have just said "I was doing the dishes" and left it at that - but no, I have to try and be mister wordy . . . ) and I heard my son go up to my wife and say, "Mommy, pull my finger." I don't know where he picked that one up, Lord knows that I don't find that type of behaviour particularly funny or appropriate. Maybe his grandfather, my mentor, has been at it again. Sadly it's a one way sponge, and you can't squeeze out the stuff you wish he didn't pick up. Jevster,
