I don't think I've ever really appreciated how dependent I am on my vision. Recently I've had the great fortune picking up a viral infection in my right eye that caused extensive corneal damage. Don't feel sorry for me, there's always an upside to this type of injury. For starters the world has become a more beautiful place. Just about everyone looks the same at 15 feet. Which is a good thing. The other one is how much fun it is to drive now. Cars parked on the right side are part of an obstacle course. A bump is a sure sign to more over more to the left. People are wondering why I'm so cheeky all of a sudden. I suppose it's because it looks like I'm winking at them. Women are fun, because it's kind of flirty. I'm sure for the guys it's a little scary, and to them I say: Sorry. It's probably a little unnerving to be sitting in a conference room, or over coffee and have a six foot seven inch two hundred and thirty pound man wink at you. (Clarification on the last bit. I only sound big.) Well other than that nothing overly funny or humourous this month. I've been working on the mother of all pooh stories, and when I can find a way to make it come out in a tasteful and artistic manner I'll post it. Just you see. Jevster |
