JevInstincts May is here, and well, that's a good thing. With the nice weather I get to experience that special season known to those who follow these things closely, as I do: Allergy Season. As I write this my eyelids are so chapped from all that itchy watery eyes nonsense I can hardly see. I'd be a righteous poster boy for the antihistamine people is that crap actually worked. So I've been suffering now for a few weeks, and have the dry cracked bleeding eyes to prove it. I found a tube of moisturizing cream that actually helped, and over the last couple of days I've been carefully applying this to my lids. I brought this wonder cream to the office, since work means never having to say I'm sick. Well I was at work today, and my eyes were feeling like hell so I figured I'd go to the can and apply some ointment on to soothe the burning. So I grab the tube of angel's kisses (well that's how it feels!) and as I walk down the hall to the men's room a buddy of mine stops in front of me, and looks at the tube in my hand and gives me a weird look. It suddenly dawns on me that here I am, holding a tube of ointment in my hand, and I'm walking to the washroom. Ointment. Click goes the light. He starts walking away giggling to himself. I want to stop him and explain, but all I'm able to do is call after him as he makes his way for the elevators. "I don't have hemorrhoids! This is an ointment to soothe my burning eyes! There's no "H" on the package. Look! Hey, come back." But he was gone. Dang. This is how rumours start. Sure I sit all day long ... Jevon the Tall |
