Over the last year my acummulated pile of physical media has been declining as I've been forced by necessity to join the digital age. iTunes is okay (but not really) and now that they're coding at a higher bitrate and are abandoning DRM I feel like I own what I'm buying. What sucks is the lack of information. I know music stands by itself, but I sure do love liner notes and credits. How come more people don't include a digital booklet?

The CD is dead, long live the CD. Because I'm in denial and although I still get a lot of discs it's getting harder to just browse through the racks in search of cool new things. There's just not much left to look through. Thankfully there are used shops all over the place and I'm amazed at some of the stuff I find.

People like to bitch and moan about the good old days, and complain how mainstream music sucks monkey balls (Good Charlotte's Remix album anyone?), but there's a lot of absolutely wicked stuff out there people just don't get to hear. Then there's the stuff I get sent from indie artists that often warms my ears and makes me happy. To those people who trust me with the craetive babies I say "Thanks" I will get around to posting reviews. Be patient, I'm getting there.
